New instructors arrive to teach Arabic culture, language to Missoula students

Learning Chinese offers Murfreesboro students window on the world

For the second year in a row, Murfreesboro City Schools’ Discovery School at Reeves-Rogers is hosting a teacher from China. Ye Cheng’s visit, which will last the entire school year, was funded by the Teachers of Critical Languages Program run by the U.S. Department of State. Mandarin Chinese Taught by Exchange Teacher

Dozens of high school students are studying Mandarin Chinese with an exchange teacher. Having left her picturesque coastal city of Dalian in the Liaoning Province of China, Xiaona Wang has arrived in Hopkinton as an exchange teacher to teach Mandarin Chinese to high school students and run enrichment programs at the middle school. Kennedy-Lugar YES Abroad program is now accepting applications

Applications are now available for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad program, an international student exchange program for American high school students. Eligible students ( U.S. citizens ages 15 to 18.5) win merit-based scholarships to study in one of 11 countries while living with a host family. Countries include Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Mali, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Thailand and Turkey.
