In addition to changing the look, simplifying navigation and deleting old broken links, we have also implemented a more functional login/registration system throughout all of Russnet. Now you can log in and log out properly, and registration has been simplified considerably.
There are some important changes to note about registering for Russnet.
- Multiple registrations for one email address are no longer accepted. When registering, you must provide a unique email address, or continue to use the profile already associated with that address.
- When students register, they must specify their Institution Name AND Instructor's last name up front. This to prevent students from having to scroll through long lists of classes to find theirs. Now they will only see open classes for the specific teacher they have requested.
- There are logout buttons on the teacher and student home pages. Quitting your browser will still log you out as before, but we recommend using the logout button so user records are more clear.
This is the first of many big changes to come in Russnet. Our highest priority right now is revamping the tools used to create and manage activities, classes and students. As this is a huge undertaking, it will take some time to implement.
We aim to provide an environment where these tasks are simple, and encourage collaboration between both teachers and students.
Feedback is always welcome and desired. We would love to hear from our teachers with any thoughts they might have.
We hope you enjoy the new look!
Best,
