AATSEEL
The American Association of Teachers of Slavic and Eastern European Languages maintains a
site with much information relating to the study of the Slavic world.
The site's Job Announcements
section lists a large amount of non-academic NGO type jobs in East Europe and the NIS. Jobs are
archived for 6 months and updated about once a month.
ACTR/ACCELS - American Council of Teachers of Russian ACTR is a non-profit organization devoted to academic exchanges between the US and NIS.
ACTR's sister organization, ACCELS, is involved in educational, research, professional training,

CCSI - Center for Civil Society International
Hands down one of the best information sources on
the web for the NIS. Visit the homepage for hundreds of links with descriptions
for US and NIS based NGOs and NPOs, or go straight to their amazing
News and Announcements section for a large number of job announcements which are constantly updated and archived.
CCI - Center for Citizen
Initiatives Works in economic development, strengthening NGO and NPO networks. Updated often with new CCI job announcements.

The Eurasia Foundation
This site offers much information about one of the top grantmaking foundations working in the NIS. You can also go straight to the foundations Job
Announcements section where foundation jobs are routinely listed as well as a few links to other job resource sites.
Job Possibilities with Russian A no frills page from the Russian Department at the University of Alabama. Periodically updates its list of current job vacancies related to Russia and Russian. Jobs are drawn from the internet listservs and from personal contacts of the Russian Department at UA.
USAID
A very informative and interesting site that lets you read about USAID's mission and projects, get detailed information on USAID activities. Also available are descriptions of USAID funded projects and grant amounts for all NGOs and Non- Profits in all NIS countries!! Finally, there is information on
Employment Opportunities with USAID both overseas and domestic.
The World Bank This site doesn't have listings, but it will take you through the procedures of applying for a World Bank job.

While having no concrete links to job opportunities in the NIS, this site is an excellent place on
the web to make contacts in Russia and worldwide relating to NGO work in the NIS. It has a
"coffeehouse", bulletin board, and oodles of links to International and NIS based NGOs and Non-Profit Organizations.
Once you go there, you'll find yourself exploring all kinds of sites and always coming back for more.
NGONet
NGOnet is a comprehensive resource for the third sector Central and Eastern Europe.
The site contains a database of NGO's in the region along with contact information, a database of funding resources,
training programs, and new project activities. A Bulletin Board with JOB
OPPORTUNITIES is still under construction. Visit the site and urge them forward!
OneWorld
A consortium of over 150 international humanitarian organizations. The site contains many links
to aid organizations and has a decent jobs and volunteer
section although it is not centered around the NIS.
Socio-Ecological Union A
large site detailing the activities of one of the most active ecological organizations in the NIS.
Includes information about SEU's Anti-nuclear campaigns, preservation action, and how to get in touch and involved.

ECOLINE
Maintains a large network of links and information to and for environmental action in the NIS and
beyond. KOI-8 font required.
Rainbow
Keepers Involved in direct non-violent environmental action in the NIS. Page contains e-mail
contacts to Rainbow Keepers staff in Russia.
CEEMAN-L
An excellent information source maintained by Dennis McConnell of the Maine Business School.
the purpose of the list is to foster contact between those in business, non-governmental, and
development fields in Eastern Europe and the NIS. The list constantly provides new web
resources related to the above mentioned fields in the NIS. While the list itself does not post job
openings, the URLs it announces will often point you in good directions.

Another great list from Center for Civil Society International
which includes cultural, political, ethnic, NGO, and other assorted types of information.
Most importantly for the purposes the Russian Jobs Network, the CIVILSOC list often conveys
job announcements for NGOs both in the US and in the NIS.

A good list that periodically sends new information from the Global JobServ Archive
maintained by Thomas J. Burola and Associates. The jobs that come over this network are
